It was way too biblical for someone who is very much not that way inclined. However, the mastery of the architecture and the insight and knowledge infused into the efforts made in the construction of the buildings, to withstand the elements and the means of time, is astounding. I really marvel at the way these buildings have withstood the test of time. There is so much history to soak up in Braga - you could spend a lifetime learning. But, I truly believe there is a lot more in life than just the Bible and religion, so there should be a warning sign at the gates of Braga, as they stand today, "Beware of the thread of the bible that is stitched throughout the entirety of this city". Overall though, it is a majestic city, with so much history etched deep in its soul.

Braga is a relatively flat city and we walked to all the main sights. Our apartment was steps away from Casa das Natas and we had breakfast there twice- excellent service and yummy food. Around the corner is Maria Alice which also had friendly servers and a different menu- delicious! We ate twice at a Típica which was unique (no spoilers) and the food was great. We spent one rainy morning walking around Braga Parque which was impressive considering how lively it was and malls near us in the US seem to be dying off. If you want spectacular viewpoints visit: Baloiço de Esporões (need a car), Bom Jesus, and Sameiro.

Braga is really beautiful, the old town is breathing some kind of old wisdom, i have difficulties to put my feelings about it in words, in the parts where i was mostly hanging out i had the idea to be part of an old movie. I was here winter 2023 and it was raining a lot and i think it was part of the peace of mind it gave me. the silence in the streets. Just outside Braga you can find Bom Jesus do Monto and that is really impressive as well, like really really. I didn't went much to restaurants or bars but you can find them plenty.

Very nice town for a two day stay.
Very nice town for a two day stay. I happened to be there on the 1ST of December and joined in the festivities of the Christmas celebration which seemed to involve the whole town.
Braga is very old and historic and it has a lot of charm for its size and I enjoyed finding what felt like secret corners of the town to enjoy.

Location could not have been better. We booked last minute and happened to be in Braga during the Roman festival which was awesome!
Ana was incredibly helpful and made a v last minute trip a highlight of our time in Portugal so far.
Despite all the buzz and excitement from the festival, the sound proofed rooms meant that we were not at all disturbed by it. Slept well.
The building was easy for us to access but felt very safe and secure.
The staff is the key highlight without a doubt. The person who checked me in and out was one of the sweetest hosts I've had and every interaction I had in the hotel had me come away with a smile.
My room was big, clean, not overly/gaudily decorated, the shower was very good (temperature and water pressure). I will surely return anytime I have to make a stop in Braga at a bit of a budget.
Everything! Great communication by Valeria, fantastic location just a stone away from everything, Cathedral view, very clean rooms, lift and nice breakfast. Originally, didn’t request breakfast because it seems expensive for Portugal, but we tried in one morning owing to great reviews here and it was worth it! Will go back if we manage to visit Braga again!
This is an extraordinary conversion of a very old convent into a gorgeously appointed, elegant hotel which design acknowledges the history and Portuguese culture in a modern way that does not assert architectural ego over the magnificence of the old structure. Its location is perfectly central to walk to all the sights of lovely Braga.
We had a business event for Prisco Business Group in Braga and we stayed at Melia Hotel. We had a great time and the hotel facilities are great. it’s truly a 5 stars hotel, stuff are nice, polite and helpful at all times. we definitely recommend and will come back on our next planned events as well holidays. Regards, Fabiano Prisco
Modern hotel , comfortable and clean. Beds are very comfortable and shower and amenities are nice. Breakfast is good quality and well arranged. Location is perfected and good isolation of windows so you can sleep like a baby. Staff is very nice and friendly. Much recommended for a visit to Braga.
I was very impressed with Vila Gale in Braga. It is a luxury hotel with everything you expect in a luxury hotel to have. The location is central with easy walking to everything. It was converted from a hospital to hotel but the building looks like a palace.
Beautiful decor, done with a restful relaxing environment.
Close to everything you need and desire to see. We were very thankful to be able to enjoy our stay at the apartment and in beautiful Braga. We were warmly welcomed.
The hotel is wonderful-design hotel, very clean and the staff is so friendly and kind! The location, breakfast and safty measures are on a very high level. I will stay at the same hotel when visit Braga again!
Clean and quiet in a central location in Braga, less than 10mins walk to the historical city center. The room is very comfortable and modern. The staff are nice and provided a good room far from street noise
Beautiful view! Apartment located in the center of Braga, and it looks like it was remodeled a few years ago. Clear and easy check in process. Well equipped kitchen. Quick wifi and plenty of tv channels.
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. The hotel was a quick walk to Braga Old Town. We had dinner at one of the restaurants directly across the street from the hotel.
High class, wonderful host, elevator directly to the room, personalized and attentive breakfast, very clean and comfortable including the bed (which tend to be very firm in Portugal)
Staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and has old world charm. Good central location. The rooms are not luxurious but practical, quaint and nicely equipped.
Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Nice room.
We parked car at Bragashopping. They worked with hotel. 24h is 10€. We pay 7€ for 19 h.
