“Fabulous location at top of Shipka pass, a hundred meters from Route 5, one of the main routes across the mountains. Used by skiers and hikers, it was for us the perfect stopping off point on our way through Bulgaria to the Romanian border. Recently refurbished, the hotel combines traditional style with brand new furnishings and decor. We arrived mid evening to find there was only one other guest. The staff made us very welcome and cooked us a delicious meal that was very inexpensive. We wished we could have stayed an extra in order to explore the beautiful mountains around this very nice hotel.”
