“'We stayed in 'His and Hers' for two nights last summer. The location is great if you want to go to the great wall. The staff was very welcoming and helped us get a taxi to the great wall and back to Beijing. This hotel is also perfect for people who just want to relax. They have a big garden with little lakes, pick nick tables and bar seats. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner there. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the weather and view of the mountains. The room we had was very nice and brand new. The staff made us a good breakfast with lots of food. The staff speaks English much and much better than any other hotel we visited in China! Their overall friendliness and politeness made our stay in this hotel one of the best hotels we visited.'”

“We stayed at Red House for 3 nights. We went there by taxi from Beijing (70 minutes for 200 yuan). It is located very near (7 minutes) the Mutynianu part of the great wall which we really enjoyed. This is a nice B&B. The breakfast (western or chinese) were excellent. The owners Angel and Tony are always on site and take care of everything. The room is amazingly decorated for a B&B. When youll arrived, you wont be impressed by the exterioir look (very rural), but wait till toure inside the room! However, whats makes this place so special is the quality of the hosts. They literally take care of everything. We needed to do some washing, they took care of it at no charge! We didnt like much the restaurant located nearby. It has the same name than the hotel, bu different owners. We told that to Angel and she offered to cook us the dinner! It was excellent, exactly what we needed. (and way less expensive!). IF you want to visit the great wall, dont hesitate to book this place!”

We took the first bus, at 7h30, and were practically alone in the Wall. At 10h30, on our way back, it was already full. Very full. Don't miss the toboggan to slide down!”

“This was my second time staying at the cute traditional farmhouse. Sherry and Olivia and the others are such great hosts and have thought of little details to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay every time. The home cooked meals are fabulous, they will arrange drivers to the Wall easily and help with any questions or planning needs, the rooms are comfortable with in-floor heating and heated blankets to ensure warmth all through the winter. They worries about my idea to go alone from Mytinauy to Huanghucheng. In one day I made half of my plan and host was with me. They helped to organize transport which is important when nobody understand English and speaks only Chineese.”
