“If you choose EL Cotillo for your holidays on Fuerteventura, you made very good first choice. If you choose the Casa del Castillo for your accommodation its going to be amazing! I just loved it there. The host only speaks Spanish, but that was no problem at all. There was a little welcome package waiting in the kitchen, with some local wine, snacks and cold beer in the fridge. It felt like coming home instantly. The apartment is very spacious and split on three floors, which I liked a lot, specially because of the roof terrace, but you should just be aware of going up and down the stairs a lot. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Towels, sun umbrellas, windshields, laundry machine, full kitchen accessorizes incl. spices,dish soap, coffee Mokka, toaster ... Cotillo is a very small community with no excessive nightlife. If you prefer to hear the sound of the ocean, instead of jelling party crowds, this is your place to be. Nevertheless you have great restaurants and some small bars for a drink. But a cold beer on your own terrace is the best place anyway. Groceries shopping is in 5 min distance and there are local craft shops all around town. Cotillo is a perfect base camp for your surfing holiday on the island. The north shore hosts the best spots and the local beach break (walking distance) is a perfect beginner spot. Further more there are a lot of good surf schools in town. I would recommend a rental car to explore the island, but the public transportation also is right around the corner.”

“El hotelito was a dream. We booked it without knowing much about the island or the town and we feel so lucky. Monica and Roberto went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to show us all there is to do in the town and the surrounding area. It’s clear they love this place and have taken care in building an oasis to share that with visitors. Cotillo is a small surf town that’s much less crowded and over-developed than nearby Corralejo, while also being close enough that you can take advantage of all that town has to offer (ie: the sand dunes). El hotelito is in a great location— a five-minute walk to the lagoons, two-minute walk to the harbor with great restaurants, and 8 minutes or so to the big wave beaches. We were here for a week but could have happily stayed for two. In the hotelito itself there are two patios to sit out in among plants and a sun roof with a jacuzzi where we spent our mornings reading and eating the croissants they provided. It felt like a joy to come home to every night.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at AME. The property is exactly as described. Clean, well-equiped, great location and is excellent value for money. The host was very kind and thoughtful.
