Puri Bagus Candidasa offers villa accommodation with views of the resort’s gardens or beach.
“This was my ?7th or 8 th visit in 20 years. First visit to Bali in 4 or 5 years. I have stayed in many Candi Dasa hotels but now only consider staying at Puri Bagus since the quality is so highBeautifully maintained 26 year-old very quietly elegant 5-star which seems to get better and better with age in a quiet ocean front location. The villa units of 2 or 3 rooms re well designed and spaced so as to be fairly private. Puri Bagus or "big or beautiful palace" is aptly named. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with updated bathrooms including large tub and the obligatory "bali-style open air shower". The staff are extremely welcoming and pleasantly so friendly. Most have worked there for decades. The included buffet breakfast is varied and delicious with sweet fragrant yellow passion fruit, perfectly ripe avocado, fresh juice including pineapple. Yum. On request they made me Bubur Ayam -chicken rice porridge- my fav Indo Breakfast. Excellent food at good prices. No need to go out to eat.Lovely gardens and Amok Bay vistas with numerous lounge bales overlooking the beach and ocean. Large deep pool with crystal clear water. Decent snorkelling with baby bat fish, black and white striped "balls" of little catfish, schools of head down razor or shrimp fish, pipe fish, thousands of the long thin tentacled distensable snake like sea cucumber species I see nowhere else except Candi Dasa to name some special delights for sophisticated snorkelers just in the man made breakwaters of the ever changing Candi Dasa waterfront. Shuttle bus to town. Spa treatments were excellent. Too many amenities and delightful touches to mention.”

The manager, Anna, is just lovely along with the rest of the staff. A light bulb was broken in the bathroom when we arrived and she personally oversaw it being replaced immediately. We got tours arranged at the desk and it all worked out perfectly”

“What a fantastic place this is. 2 bed roomed; each with en suite bathroom, villa just off the main road of Candidasa. Location is perfect for a relaxing stay. The bedrooms were large and comfy, lounge and well equipped kitchen enormous although we ate out and didn't actually use the facilities but they were all there. The pool is a prefect size for swimming lengths if you feel you need the exercise :D or just have a float around. Pool towels were provided. Immaculate gardens which are a delight to wander around. There is a small cafe immediately next door where we had breakfast every day, great scrambled eggs! There is a guest book withing the villa which recommends lots of places to eat used by other guests along with helpful tips for tours as well. Do read it. Ketut at the villa was wonderful, not intruding in any way and always greeted us with a bright good morning, or good evening when he arrived. Very little noise from the immediate area, and what there was sums up Bali life to T. We really loved our stay at Vista Del Mar, a few words can't describe how wonderful it was. Thank you Vivienne for experience, we left the villa very much in love with it.”
