Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanStaff are all friendly and helpful. The location is strategic, easy to visit the famous spot of East Bali by scooter, and it's really nice to go around the village or beach nearby. Breakfast tastes great, I love the banana pancake and fresh fruit. The wifi is good for online work. The most impressive thing is the staff wipe the seat dry of my scooter after raining, I even didn't ask for it, I found it when I am gonna going out after the big rain. By the way, you may rent a nicescooter from the cottage, but please make sure you can ride a scooter safely. I also enjoy the pickup trip with Mr. Nyoman and Mr. Mangku, esp Mr. Mangku. They try their best to have me exploring the beauty of Eastern Bali, and explaining the Bali culture, also took me to enjoy the nice local dish. Overall, the cottage is not a five star place, but the service is over 5 star, really recommend to those who want to explore Eastern Bali.

United KingdomHaving to leave
We have just returned from our amazing 20 day stay at these beautiful tropical gardened cottages. Mangku and his wonderful Jepun family moved heaven and earth to make us feel at home and part of the family , from airport pickup and drop off, laundry, scooter hire, driver and car if needed and even arranging a car to the port and boat return to and from the Gili Islands for a 2 day excursion the driver was waiting to pick us up on our return even though the boat was a couple of hours late. Every request we had was met with a "no problem " Virgin beach was our favourite and I'd definitely recommend a scooter for getting around. The local people in the area are so welcoming and friendly. My wife and I have never felt so safe and at ease so far from home. Manur Suksma to everyone of the gang , missing you all.

United KingdomIt was pretty perfect - but to make it even better We would have liked more storage and comfortable seating in the AC rooms, which the bamboo bungalows provide. A fan would also be great to use indoors and on the balcony
Beautiful little jungle garden with decent-sized bungalows tucked away on a hill, on the edge of the Perasi village. For quiet and serenity, this is a good place to relax, as the immediate area is not touristy, which we liked for its authentic local feeling. A motorbike or driver is necessary, which the host can provide, for access to the beach and other sites. Mangku and his team were attentive and lovely, making u s feel welcome and comfortable. They provided suggestions for nice places to eat and visit and organised a smooth and comfortable pickup from the port to their place, with convenient stops along the way to gather snacks and provisions, as the place is a bit far to walk from any convenience stores, ATMs, or restaurants. We enjoyed their breakfast (with fruit and Balinese coffee) and were glad they could also make simple Indonesian dishes if we felt like staying in due to rain or other reasons. Their driver was very kind to make a stop at the medical clinic en route as my husband had a worsening ear infection that needed attention. We were thankful for their help. The rooms and shared spaces were kept clean, and the daily housekeeping was very much appreciated. The small plunge pool was nice to use as the days were very humid and hot, and we were provided with fresh pool towels. It was nice to have a choice of AC or fan rooms (the fan rooms are bigger and prettier), and we appreciated having the large fridge/kitchenette area in the standard bungalows. Although the evenings were cooler than the days while we were there in late April for 5 nights, we liked the cotton bedding and the cotton bed sheet to stay cool and sleep comfortably during the evenings. WiFi, AC, and hot showers worked well. We would have liked more storage and comfortable seating in the AC rooms, which the bamboo bungalows provide.

GermanyIf you are not keen on nature the outdoor showers might not be your thing. But it was clean and I liked it. Walk to the beach is about 35 minutes which was a sweaty hike but you could tell that before so it was no surprise. Getting a scooter might be helpful to get around as grab/gojek did not work for me well.
Very nice garden and outdoor showers. Very friendly and caring staff. They handed out snacks one afternoon and gave me the option to choose a room and even change if I changed my mind.

FranceNe pas avoir programmé davantage de jour en cet endroit magique !
We spent three weeks in Bali and visited six establishments. Jepun Didulu Cottages is undoubtedly the best for the professionalism of the team that manages it and the quality of the location and service. A haven of peace in the middle of a subtly wooded park, there are only 8 accommodations which will guarantee you the greatest calm to recharge your batteries! Five minutes by car or scooter, you will be able to discover a sumptuous beach (Virgin Beach) preserved from mass tourism and very clean. On this subject, do not hesitate to contact Mangku and his team who will manage your transport at a good price for the beach, going to the restaurant or any other destination. A big thank you to Kadek, Iluu, Mangku and the whole team for making our stay so pleasant! Not to be missed!!

AustraliaI spent a wonderful time with my partner and our 2 years, son. The cottage is wonderful, the team is outstanding. Mangku and his family welcomed us and took care of us with a touch of love in all gestures. A true, beautiful, and welcoming Balinese atmosphere. A gem surrounded by beautiful trees. The location is outstanding, so strategic. In 15 minutes via scooter, we could explore so many different spots, from temples to wonderful lookouts and beaches. A place to experience authenticity far from the crowd, yet extremely well served. A dive into authenticity and relax. We could not be happier! A must!

AustraliaLovely garden setting with a great little pool to cool off in. The room was super spacious with a wardrobe, nice outdoor bathroom and a small kitchen. If you like walking, it’s an easy half hour walk to Virgin Beach, which is a great swimming beach with plenty of restaurants offering free sun loungers for the day if you eat and drink there. The staff at Jepun Didulu were all so lovely, welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed all three dinners we had from their simple but tasty menu.

United Arab EmiratesThe room we stayed in is not bad- can do with a small upgrade but for price you pay its more than enough!
If you want a real humble balinese experience in a family run jungle- looking cottage, then this place is for you. The team is great and so helpful and welcoming. Everything we asked for became a yes... tried yummy indonesian breakfast treats just after mentioning I was interested to try. The cottage space is cute, cozy, and filled with beautiful plants and flowers. We wanted a massage late at 9 pm... and they made it happen- was not bad considering the ladies seemed to work in the kitchen haha. Overall lovely experience and would highly recommend.

NetherlandsEvery thing was perfect
You have the feeling that you stay in the jungle, but in reality you are in a small village. There are no amenities close by so if you want to go somewhere you need to either rent a bike or ask Mangku (the owner) for transport (or anything else you want actually :)). We had his brother Gusti driving us to and from our other accommodations. You can also book transfer to eat in Candidasa. If you do not feel like going, they will prefer some (basic) food for you. The accommodation and the setting is simply stunning, The small pool is lovely for a few hours. all relaxed and no stress. This is a place where they want to take care of you! A day to Virgin Beach is a must.

BelgiumStaying in Jepun Didulu's beautiful bungalows with luscious garden and small pool was a glamorous end to our trip. We were welcomed like queens by the friendly staff and the owner was so kind as to upgrade me to a better bungalow than I had initially paid for. My bungalow was traditional balinese and just so full of charm and comfort. The room was huge and I had a bath and a shower in the bathroom. Were able to rent a scooter to go to the local villages and beaches which are only 5-10 minutes away. Virgin beach and Gumang temple are must dos in the area. The hotel also booked my taxi to the airport at the end of my stay. Thank you for an amazing stay !
