“Riad Jnane Imlil is exceptional. The Riad itself is relatively new and the design is outstanding. There are several terraces and there are plenty of places to relax inside and outside depending on your mood and the weather. On the outside the view of the Atlas Mountains and Mt. Toubkal is very impressive especially with all of the beautiful blossom of Spring. Mustapha is very accommodating and a fountain of all knowledge who helped us enormously. Thank you very much. All the staff are friendly and were always at hand to help in any way they could. The food was really wonderful too, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would love to visit Imlil again as it is a great gateway into the mountains for hiking and experiencing the Moroccan great outdoors.”

“This accommodation feels more like a home stay than a hotel. The family who runs it lives just next door and are extremely friendly and helpful. While there is plenty of room for privacy, the hosts are always around to answer any questions. It’s 10 minutes away from central Imlil, but is located in the real village away from the tourism. In case you have heavy luggage, many of the local offer to take it by mule. If you want an authentic experience of the mountain villages, this is the place to go.”

“The care-taker Mr Mohammad is an all-in-one and genuinely cares for his guests in every way. He's multi-lingual and communicates extremely well in English. Over New Year's Mr Mohammad had it hard making sure every room was cosy and making sure the fire was just right. He cooks up a good dinner and was ready for us lot who had to check-out early morning with some breakfast so we won't get hungry! Thanks to him, the place runs like clock-work!”

“On our arrival at the Gite Tamsoult we received a warm welcome and were introduced to all members of staff. Mint tea and biscuits were provided and were available throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely and was different each day...freshly squeezed orange-juice was delightful. Great location once you become familiar with the area. family of Abderrahim Id Boussalem is a fantastic cook and really looked after us. Iliass "Mr Google" provided us with helpful information and answered any queries we may have had (French, English and a wee bit Scottish aswell). We had a most enjoyable time with their help”

“Rachid was an excellent host who made us feel very welcome. He provided us with lots of information and was not at all pushy. He organised our taxis to Imlil and back to marrakesh for a fair price and even upgraded us to another room which had an ensuite. The host Ahmad was very friendly and kind, he borrowed us a map of the area and mountain Toubkal and provided with guidance about hiking routes. He offered free mint tea whenever we met and helped with whatever questions we had. Ahmad cared about us a lot, came to wake us for breakfast each morning and even called us one evening to check that we're ok on our late decent from Toubkal. When leaving the house host gave my girl a necklace as a present and a reminder of the visit which was very kind of him.”

“We have chosen the place because the localisation to hike Jabel Toubkal seemed to be the best. There were only two reviews but we decided to give it a try. Eventually it was good choice. This Dar is desolated from the town, it was quiet and we could go to sleep early. Also you have 1 hr less to hike. The personnel was helpful, we had a welcome tea as always and despite it was late when we arrived, they made us an omelette for dinner (100MAD). They arranged us the breakfast at 6. We could also leave one bag for 2 days while we were hiking Toubkal. Note, that the map shows wrong localisation. When you hike uphill from Imlil, it is on the way to Toubkal. There is no need to turn left to Around.”
