“Located quite close to tourism spots but surrounded by quiet residents. Run by nice family. Although I demanded a lot, such as late check in(11pm)and early check out(5ish) plus taxi reservation they kindly accepted my favors. In addition when I was about to go out to explore the city, Ali, the charming host, cared my safety and handed me a hotel card as emergency contact info. My room was spacious, beautiful decoration with suzani, strong wifi, big windows, clean toilet and bathtub. I was completely relaxed like in my home. My favorite point was large balcony. You can look out over the neighborhood and feel local life. Breakfast was tasty and just the right amount for me. One more happy thing is some local traditional sweets were also served. Surprisingly the hostess delivered a breakfast set and small table to my room directly. So I enjoyed it with beautiful sunrise scene and morning breeze through the balcony. This lovely hotel might be the biggest purpose of visiting Bukhara. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“My boyfriend and another friend stayed at Payraviy for 3 days, and the owners became like our family! The room had an air conditioner with a remote so that we could control our own temperature, which was a life-saver in the 104 F/41 C degree weather in Bukhara. The location was perfect - an easy walk to all of the old city. Most importantly - my boyfriend got very sick with food poisoning, and the staff could not have been kinder. The owner's mother is a pharmacist, and she gave him medicine, and when that didn't work, they called a doctor to the hostel. The doctor was almost free, and he gave my boyfriend a saline IV, antibiotics and vitamins. The owner helped to translate, and everyone was so helpful. Even though we were supposed to check-out at 12pm, they let him rest in bed all day while he recovered. I cannot say enough kind things about the people at Payraviy - I absolutely recommend you meet them and stay here!”

“This was possibly the best hostel that we stayed at during our entire trip to Uzbekistan. Umar is an older gentleman set on guaranteeing his visitors the best vacation possible. Aside from his fantastic instructions and advice on what to see and do, Umar also hosted a Plov cooking lesson: We went to the market and shopped for the fresh produce and then proceeded to cook Plov in his outdoor oven, between the authentic Uzbek garb, the vodka that accompanied the cooking and the formal dinner in his traditional Uzbek dining room, it was just too cool. The accomodations are spacious, clean and as modern as we had found in Uzbekistan.”

This family guesthouse is relatively new, and we loved how the young family is running it: the host is a great guy, eager to learn and improve, and everything is clean and organized. The rooms are quiet during the night, with one room with a sofa and another with 4 beds. The shower pressure was a little weak but fine, and the bathroom was nice and warm. We were always asked if everything was okay and if we wanted heating during the evening and night. Breakfast is similar to other places in Uzbekistan with bread, fried eggs (+optional sausage), sweets and tea, but the bread was fresh every time and we were happy to see the fresh figs as well! (first time in all the ‘stans) Second day we were served tasty rice porridge. The location is not in the center but only a 5 minute walk to the main street. Our host also helped us with information about the train tickets to Khiva, and helped us enormously with a (paid) ride from the bank and finally to the train station. He is a genuine beast with Google Translate, so it wasn’t any problem at all to communicate even though his English is basic. Awesome! We would definitely recommend this place.”

“My friends and I booked this hotel with not much review online. But I was thoroughly impressed with the owner. Muhammad Ali. He made our stay enjoyable and kept our room neat and tidy for our 6 days stay. The room was huge, extremely clean and the bathroom was the biggest we had during our stay throughout Uzbekistan. It’s in a quiet location and sits nearby to possibly the best Samsa In Uzbekistan. He even went out his way to send us to the train station on our last day. I like this hotel very much and would recommend it to anyone.”

“The host was so professional. He speaks English so well and it was so easy to communicate. I could hear many historical story of the property and culture of the Bukhara. He had experience in managing a quality restaurant in Dubai and I could feel his passion and pride on service. Especially the breakfast time was excellent. He serve special tea and some food he made, which is so delicious. The best thing in this hotel was that the host want to keep traditional object and element of the architecture as it was.
