The manageress Barbara and all of her staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind. They helped us at all junctures and answered all questions and did their best to explain, give directions and solve problems. Seriously, one of the best places I have ever stayed. They only issue I had was that the breakfast menu did not vary, but there was plenty of options and different foods to allow a guest to vary their own menu. The only other thing that I would have asked for was to have a heated pool as the water was very cold and not suitable for swimming, The palace grounds are exquisite with a dining room like something out of Versailles, with tiled walls in blue (typical of Porto). At night there is a guard at the entrance which gives a sense of security as the neighbourhood has quite a few abandoned buildings, as does much of downtown Porto. The hotel is an exquisite corner out of time and just three blocks from the metro station and lots of great restaurants just down the street. The dinner at the hotel was also excellent, and one felt that it was a special chef who cooked there. The staff of the dining room were also exceptionally nice, pleasant, helpful and attentive. A true gem in the world of hotels and hospitality.

Wonderful and helpful staff. Even provided euro adapters for our Canadian electronics. The staff was very eager to help and make our stay very comfortable.

Attractively situated in the centre of Porto, Exe Essenzia Porto is within 1.1 km of Clerigos Tower and 1.8 km of Palacio da Bolsa. we loved our stay! The rooms we’re a really good size, clean and modern. The location was perfect, close to all the good restaurants but not too chaotic. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast every morning was delicious!

The location is perfect as there is a metro right in front of the hotel. You can easily walk to la casa de musica and also there is a roundabout near the hotel with a pastry shop every step you make. Set in a historic mansion overlooking Praça De República garden, this hotel in Porto’s city centre features ornate architectural details. Trindade Metro and Railway Station is 5 minutes’ walk away. The staff in this little boutique hotel couldn't be more incredible. Soooo friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, there are little pastries available all day long. Beds are extremely comfortable and the shower is perfect.
