Ruth was the perfect host. She offered to pick me up from the Train Station and drop me off, should I have needed this. As she didn't have anyone immediately after me she said I could leave slightly later.

We started our walk on the Southwest Coast Path here. We had traveled most of the day from London (thank you, rail strike) and ended up taking a taxi from Exeter). We ended the day with a pleasant pint over looking the water.

The quality of fittings and decor, comfort of the beds, quality of bed linens and towels, all appreciated, home from home. The kitchen exceeded all expectations, including a complete larder of spices, condiments and every pan/cooking device you will ever need! If you are a keen home cook, everything is included in the kitchen, even decent charcoal for a weber grill outside! Can highly recommend to all, the welcome package a suprise to open the large modern fridge to see a bottle of bubbly, some butter, litre of milk and enough tea/coffee to tide you over the first day/night, open the bread bin and a pack of bread buns! But the crowning glory was to open the door and see a most glorious home made Victoria Sponge with strawberry jam & butter cream filling, beautifully presented wrapped in cellophane sitting on the large kitchen island as a welcome gift was A-mazing!! Thank you.

The pool was nice, and thankfully warm inside and out. The children’s park was also good, apart from roaming dogs. The pods were basic as expected, warm and quirky. The family liked the stay in them, back to basics which is often needed, and they were warm. The bed linen was clean and the pillows comfy. A good location for the beach and close to amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was amazing! Parking was fantastic and made the stay so much easier having the car close. Perfect property for a family of 4, with 2 young children (2 and 4). They loved watching the trains go past in the evening and visiting the swans/ducks each morning. We had everything that we needed, all was clean and comfortable. Information and suggestions were thorough and useful.

We like the place, location, facilities and most specially the host. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond when we have questions. Family holiday with under 5s have access to the kids club and pool in the holiday park. We enjoyed a 12 min walk to the beach as well. Launderette on site is very helpful. Suggestion for the host: please check the lighting where the twin beds are. We will book again when we get the chance.

It was a lovely unique place that had a very homely feel and even though it is an annexe attached to the house it still felt like we had privacy and were not intruding on the family home. Lots of thought has been put into the things you might need from family board games and colouring for the children, to cooking appliances like an air fryer and microwave. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach and other attractions so the location is very ideal. The hosts were very friendly and polite and we look forward to staying again. Thank you.

The staff were great and always helpful, and the location worked well for a trip to East Devon. A short walk to the beach and easy drives to multiple Devon attractions and activities (Kent Cavern, Lyme Regis etc.). Pools were clean and lovely and there was plenty for the kids to do at the hotel - entertainment some nights, play areas and soft play. Great for families!
