In a quiet location just 3 minutes’ walk from the beach, The Denewood is a family-run guest house in Sandown with free parking and Wi-Fi. With its own bar, The Denewood is 10 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes from the Isle of Wight Zoo.

We loved our short last-minute getaway at The Denewood. Without doubt, the driving force behind this is the personal and very genuine welcome extended by Sara and Kevin, who moved from London to run their very own B&B in 2019. Their care and attention has transformed it into a cosy, homely venue three minutes from the sand. If you seek an inexpensive, well-connected and welcoming stay on the island, look no further; and yes, the breakfast is precisely as good as others report.

Great little place. Very homey and comfortable. Lovely and quiet. Would definitely recommend and definitely visit again. Close to beach and coastal path. We came with our young grandchildren and loved that it didnt have kids clubs, entertainment or bars. It's close to everything you need to exhaust them and evenings spent with good old fashioned family time. Absolutely loved our time here.

We only stayed one night as a last minute extra night stay to extend our holiday. Lovely warm welcome from the owners. The room was huge and the kids loved it. Had a problem with the lock on our door from the outside which couldnt be helped at the time but felt safe enough to stay in the room anyway and the lovely owners checked we were ok with it. Wish we could have stayed longer. Family friendly as well and we parked on site.

The hostess was very accommodating - particularly given that we had noisy, bouncy children with us. She was always on call and very helpful with anything we needed. Great to be able to put the children to bed in the rooms upstairs and then relax in the restaurant / bar area with no worries. It was easy to access and away from the busy areas but still only a 10-15 min walk from the beach front. A very nice family friendly and relaxed atmosphere - like being home from home.
