Rod and Kim were very friendly, we loved the walk around the farm. Appreciated the firewood supply and breakfast food.

Best breakfast with organic food. We almost consumed all of it. Super clean cottages with comfortable beds and beautiful animals around the compound. The cottages setting were lovely. We had 2 wonderful nights stay. The owner has placed great effort on the cottages. There are only 2 cabins though. The only flaw is the bedrooms a little small but we are fine with that.

Offering a wood fireplace and views of the orchard and gardens, Elvenhome Farm is a unique farm stay experience. It offers an educational experience to guests. It is only a short drive from Deloraine in the Tasmanian region and 48 km from Cradle Mountain. Free private parking is available on site. Our family of four (kids 10 and 8) had a FANTASTIC time at Elvenhome Farm. We only stayed 2 nights but wanted to stay longer. (The cottage was booked or we would have adjusted our trip to stay longer.) Graham and Kathleen are lovely hosts and have created an amazing space for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is spacious, bright, clean, well-appointed, and cozy. (The bed was so comfortable!!) Their farm is lovey. Our kids picked veggies and fruit with Kathleen, and they helped feed the chickens and sheep as well. They offer classes on the theme of sustainable living, so check their website as well. (I didn't do that before our visit but I wish I had.) The rural location is a perfect, but do take note that you're about a 20 min drive from Deloraine, so stock up on groceries before you head out to the farm. Also note that you will be close to the Van Diemens Land creamery!! (So good!)

The farm stay has 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. The farm stay offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen including a gas stove and a full size refrigerator. It’s clean, extremely comfortable and super quiet. Wi-Fi was banging! the views from Mt Rumney are spectacular. Now having said all of that remember that you are staying on a farm. There are animals and all the stuff needed to take care of them so you may see a pile of fencing material or farm equipment. I’ve stayed in cottages in the middle of vineyards that weren’t half as comfortable, welcoming and worth the value as this property. I arrived early and the host welcomed me with no issues. If you want a great place to stay without all the fru-fru I would highly recommend this property.

Welcoming hosts and everything you need catered for. I am a return visitor because I haven't found better and the value is amazing.
