We stayed in Pod 1. We highly recommend the Pods for a truly unique experience. the lodge is beautiful but spending the night on the mountain is unmatchable. It’s a 40 minute drive from the Lodge to the Pods but it’s spectacular.

We had wonderful time there from the check-in to the See you again! We were able to see several animals such as lions, cheta etc.. Highly recommended.

Located in historical part of town and facility was quaint and modern but you knew the structure was hundreds of years old. Our host was 10th generation or more and gave us a full understanding on the region. he also produces some nice rum which we purchased in town to bring home. Beds were great slept really well here!

The entire property is stunning, we stayed in one of the pods and had a great time wrapped within the beautiful mountains, and enjoying the very generous sunrises and sunsets. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a retreat and to spend time out in nature. We also got to spot a good number of animals during our game drive, with our amazing guide Tish. The food was one of my favourite things about our trip.

The reception by the owner was very friendly, the atmosphere is familiar. All relevant restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast is more than lavish and the owner leaves nothing to be desired. The house is full of personal and family memories that also tell a little bit of the history of Graaff-Reinet - like a small museum. The rooms are clean, with air conditioning and everything you need. The lovingly designed garden invites you to sit and relax.
