Add the husky farm, sleigh rides, winter sports equipment and very welcoming hosts Jaana and Seppo on top of that and you know you’re in for a treat. The cabins were accommodating, well equipped and the hosts easily reachable and communicative. Couldn’t have asked for more and we genuinely felt sorry when we had to leave. It’s a secluded place so you have some driving to do if you want shops or restaurants but all in all you’re treated to amazing nature during those trips so nothing you can complain about. Near enough to both Rovaniemi and Pyha & Luoso for hiking trips and winter activity.

Each apartment has 1 bedroom and a sleeping loft, while log cabins have 2 bedrooms. A kitchen, including a dishwasher, microwave and tea/coffee facilities is provided. A TV, fireplace and private bathroom are also featured. Our stay in Polar Aurora Cabins was one of the highlights of our trip to Lapland! The cosy cabin is just magical with its roaring fire to retire in front of after a day of snowy adventures, and wooden ladder to an attic room for the kids! We started our days with a Finnish sauna - (complete with rubbing ourselves with snow!) and a coffee on the terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped so we were able to keep down our costs by cooking our meals (although other guests raved about the food prepared by Miika and Jaana in the Kota!). The kids had a blast making friends and sledging in the surrounding forest. The cabin is well out of the village, so it feels totally secluded, but of course, close enough to make visits to the supermarket. We arranged our transfers from the airport, to the supermarket and to our next accommodation with Miika, who was always on hand to help us with anything we needed during our stay. We also booked the husky experience through Polar Aurora Cabins and it was sensational! All in all, we had a fantastic experience - you won’t regret booking your stay here!

Offering holiday homes with private lake and beach access as well as a private sauna, this self-catering accommodation is situated in Nellimö in the Lapland Finland Region. If lucky, roaming reindeers can be spotted around the property. sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor fireplace, and waterfront were all good, but most of all, it was the best place for aurora hunting!!
