The view from the room is incredible. The restaurant/ lounge area is super comfortable. Great dives and snorkel opportunities with equipment can be arranged on site. Diving instructors are amazing. You can even snorkel from the beach. Motorbike rentals can be arranged.

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. It features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and rooms with views of the valley from the terrace. Free internet and parking are provided. Very friendly host who takes time for the individual interests of the guests.

Each private cottage comes with a fan and a private balcony which offers views of the surrounding greenery. It features an en suite bathroom, mosquito nets and toiletries. It also has a seating area. I loved everything. The staff was incredibly attentive for the service and they took so good care of us. Food, views, diving and couple of cold ones was everything that we needed. I will recommend this to my friends and I sure hope to get to come back. Special thanks to Connor who was my nitrox course instructor and the main all around guy taking care of all the things. Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The property has a lot of staircases and may not be suitable for elderly or young children. The bungalows are simple and very nicely decorated. The views are to die for. I loved the stairs straight down to the beach, the hammock on the veranda, simplicity, small scale and the overall value for money. The food is yummy and the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Also, check out the diving centre next door, GaiaOne Boutique diving.

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.

Fan-cooled bungalows come with free Wi-Fi and feature garden and sea views. Tea/coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities are available. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Enjoying a peaceful location, it has a meditation pavilion and a hiking trail. The property is just gorgeous. It's big, so you can roam around seeing the views towards the volcanoes. It's full of flowers everywhere, and there are tons of wild birds that visit the place, so it's a great place for birders and photographers. The area looks more like a park or garden, just beautiful. The restaurant area is very cozy, and you can easily spend a few hours relaxing on the terrace. We also liked the staff, always ready to help and assist you. The manager is very friendly and communicative, with great insight into the area and local costumes. The cabins are spacious, clean, and comfortable , with great views from the front terrace. They are located on the edge of the property, so they have a lot of privacy.

Housed in hill-facing wooden cottages, the basic rooms are all equipped with a satellite TV and mosquito net. Private bathrooms come with running hot and cold water. Some rooms have a minibar and fridge. Clean, friendly and helpful staff.
