Boasting a balcony with sea views, a private beach area and a garden, Nini's Beach Bungalows can be found in Bira, close to Bara Beach and 90 metres from Tanjung Bira Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available.

All units at the holiday park are fitted with a seating area. All units have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. At the holiday park, each unit includes bed linen and towels. We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao.

The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. It is fitted with hardwood flooring, TV and dining table. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from the balcony or the garden view from the terrace. The private bathroom comes with a shower and towels. Amazing place surrounded by padi field. Great location Away from the busy town but near enough if you need to go to town. It can be hard to find food at night so the half board options were great. Manae our host is a great cook. We requested for vegetarian food and she dished out something different every night. But there's a good restaurant about 15 min walk away from the place. The room and bathroom is very clean. The wifi was definitely a bonus! The price was comparable to some of the hotels in town, except you get a more authentic and quieter stay with Rura Raya. Highly recommended.

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. It features a private beach area and a restaurant. Super friendly staff. The owners are great. There is a very friendly vibe. The food is delicious, homemade and shared with the other guests. The view from the room is incredible. The restaurant/ lounge area is super comfortable. Great dives and snorkel opportunities with equipment can be arranged on site. Diving instructors are amazing. You can even snorkel from the beach. Motorbike rentals can be arranged.

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. It features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and rooms with views of the valley from the terrace. Free internet and parking are provided. Staying here even for one night is a must if you come to Manado. Forget every hotel, because you will find here first class service, food and view. We simply love it. Wifi/ Internet is stable and fast above all!

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk.

Each private cottage comes with a fan and a private balcony which offers views of the surrounding greenery. It features an en suite bathroom, mosquito nets and toiletries. It also has a seating area. I loved everything. The staff was incredibly attentive for the service and they took so good care of us. Food, views, diving and couple of cold ones was everything that we needed. I will recommend this to my friends and I sure hope to get to come back. Special thanks to Connor who was my nitrox course instructor and the main all around guy taking care of all the things. Mustafa, thank you for taking those amazing underwater pictures for us, it made our diving experiences even better. Milos, I could listen to your stories for days, as I did. Located in the famed diving site of Bunaken, Onong Resort offers cosy and homey beachfront accommodation featuring free WiFi access throughout the property. Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The property has a lot of staircases and may not be suitable for elderly or young children. Amazing view and clean place. The staff was so nice and add some papaya to our breakfast and give me some bananas for a snack. They organise a nice boat for us for the day and we had a great time

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.

Fan-cooled bungalows come with free Wi-Fi and feature garden and sea views. Tea/coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities are available. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Enjoying a peaceful location, it has a meditation pavilion and a hiking trail. The property is just gorgeous. It's big, so you can roam around seeing the views towards the volcanoes. It's full of flowers everywhere, and there are tons of wild birds that visit the place, so it's a great place for birders and photographers. The area looks more like a park or garden, just beautiful. The restaurant area is very cozy, and you can easily spend a few hours relaxing on the terrace. We also liked the staff, always ready to help and assist you. The manager is very friendly and communicative, with great insight into the area and local costumes. The cabins are spacious, clean, and comfortable , with great views from the front terrace. They are located on the edge of the property, so they have a lot of privacy.

Housed in hill-facing wooden cottages, the basic rooms are all equipped with a satellite TV and mosquito net. Private bathrooms come with running hot and cold water. Some rooms have a minibar and fridge. If you are ready for a breath of fresh, cool(er) air, then be ready for Highland Resort and Nature Tours in Tomohon. This delightful collection of villas is set at an elevation of 650 meters (2132 feet). Beautiful landscaping and lovely accommodations. We slept very comfortably in our room - even without an aircon unit! The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. They helped to arrange drivers and tours during our stay. We went to the crater edge of Gunung Lokon Volcano and later went to Tekaan Telu Waterfall. Along the way, we were greeted by friendly and curious locals. Be sure to learn a few basic greetings in Bahasa Indonesia and you may just find yourself a welcome guest anywhere you go! We arranged our own bird guide and had an excellent birdwatching tour. We were able to see a number of species that were high on our list, including the Scaley-breasted Kingfisher & the Superb Fruit Dove! Due to Paskah (Easter), we may not have experienced the food the way the lodge intended. Meals had to be ordered from town and not all options were available. Despite that, the staff was helpful in ensuring our stay was pleasant. We loved our stay at Highland Resort and hope we have a chance to come back!
