The property suggested a nearby car park, which we were able to find easily (though the pay machines were a bit dodgy with international credit cards) and it was only a short stroll to the house. Instructions to get in were fairly strait forward. The rooms were as described - a good sized queen and separate single with adjoining bathroom. I'm sad I didn't get to try out the awesome bath but the double shower was great! The location is excellent, with a short stroll to many eateries and the main shops etc. Mini bar fridge was appreciated.

A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts. Very nice and cosy room with kettle, tea and coffee. Debbie (the host) is very lovely lady, and it was really nice chatting to her every morning. The breakfast is delicious and freshly made. The location is very good as it is close to the main road and easy to navigate around. The bus stop is also nearby which is perfect as at times it is easier to just take the bus instead of a car.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. The breakfast was delicious, a good variety of options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is nicely decorated and our room was very pleasant and comfortable. I absolutely recommend a stay here.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels.

High ceilings in this traditional stone-built house give rooms a light, spacious feel. Beds are adorned in Egyptian cotton linen and there are also TVs and free Wi-Fi in rooms. Sue & Andre were exceptional hosts & presented accomodation that was very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Central location in easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the lake & pier. On-site easy parking was a bonus. Andre helped us with walking options, Elterwater & the Langdale valley were a photographers dream. Thanks so much for adding to my memorable holiday with my daughter.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. It offers vintage-style, luxury accommodation including Egyptian cotton linens, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, as well as free Wi-Fi. Wonderfully quirky little B and B. A very comfortable room with enough bedroom space. Loved the claw bath, this was in the bedroom, I loved this but some may not. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This little place was the perfect walking distance to Bowness for restaurants and Windermere for shopping.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, gorgeous views and the most lovely staff. Breakfast was incredible both myself and my husband said it was one of the nicest meals we'd ever had. Would 10/10 recommend.
