She made sure we had everything we needed and even left us a basket with breakfast since we needed to leave really early. Room was cosy and clean, everything you can dream of after a day of hiking.

In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. Very nice and clean room with the best breakfast we ever had in a guesthouse! The owner and staff were super firendly and helpful. It's located just 15-20 mins from the old town, but also quite close to the Arthur's seat which is a must visit!

At the guest house, all rooms have a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. All guest rooms at Birchwood Guest Lodge come with a seating area. The rooms gave out a unique atmosphere of coziness. We liked the unique way the beds were turning from sofas to beds, but we would also love it if they were a little wider. The room was spacious enough, and so was the internal private bathroom. The owners seemed friendly and caring.

The units in Harbour House are equipped with a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. we loved our stay in the Loch Cabin. it was modern, spacey, spotless clean. the view was magnificent, straight to the Barbour. excellent location and a good breakfast. note: while the property policy mentioned in booking.com says kids 3 years old and up are welcome, and the same is noted in the reservation approval, this is not the case for the loch cabins which are apparently for 2 adults only without possibility to accommodate any kids not even with additional fee. we arrived with a 5 year old and it was a bit of a shock to learn that we might no be able to check in. thankfully Alan the owner agreed (after some convincing) to let us check in with our kid. this was an exception (thanks Alan for the extra understanding and flexibility here) - so just sharing this important detail for those of you with kids.

Situated in the town of Pitlochry, Atholl Villa Guest House is a privately owned Victorian building, offering views of Ben Vrackie. It has free parking and retains many original features, such as open fireplaces and wooden sash windows. The location was very good, easy to walk about the village. Parking was behind the hotel on site. Breakfast was excellent, a full Scottish breakfast as well as toast, fruit, yogourt etc. Served in bright dining room. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Wifi was good and friendly service.
