The family hosting you are truly kind people, who don’t bother you or pressure you and will let you be at peace - but if you have questions or need anything they are so caring! the room itself is very large and exceptionally clean. the bed is big and so comfortable. the bathroom has a great shower and is also exceptionally clean. you have a private area to sit outside and watch the sun go down. and it’s only a short walk from the Ella town centre. I wish I stayed here the whole time I was in Ella.

The views from the hotel are unbelievable! I had many plans in Haputale, but I ended up spending most of my time enjoying the view from my bed or balcony. You can watch the sunrise over the mountains and tea fields right from bed. It is probably the best view I ever had from a hotel. I would love to come back just to take it all in. The location is also convenient to get to many different tea farms and Lipton’s Seat, if you do decide to leave your hotel room. Haputale is much less touristy than Ella, but you can still find lots to do. Other reviews mentioned no hot water, but this was not an issue for me. There is a switch outside the bathroom to turn on the water heater. After a few minutes waiting for the water to heat up, I had a nice hot 20 minute shower and never had any issues. The staff are very kind and willing to offer advice and help with booking tuk tuks, etc. Meals were simple but good and affordable. I also recommend walking down through the tea fields to the Olive Tea Center for tasty ice cream and other baked goodies. Really good and very affordable!

The view is amazing, the staff is very friendly. The view of the sunrise is very nice. The breakfast was very good homemade food from the mother and it was a lot! You can see a lot of animals from the terasse, like birds and monkeys and mungos. The terasse in front of the rooms are comfortable and cozy. We defined would stay here again!
