The staff was very nice and had a very helpful recommendation book of restaurants and hikes in the area. The kitchen facilities were great, there was free coffee and tea. Both onsens (in- and outdoors) were very clean and beautiful!

Very functional Family room, with lots of cutlery and nice amenities in the room. Nice view of the castle entrance from the ultra large windows. A really cute cafe on 3F although I couldn't really get to use it. Complementary coffee and tea whenever you like on the cafe floor was a nice touch. I didn't find the check-in method difficult at all. I Don't get why all the reviews that people struggled to check in.

Perfect for a budget stay while the generous double-bed capsule style rooms offer way more privacy than a typical hostel, which was great. Is a dormitory but is a private double bed separated by a door from the other beds, like a bunk bed ( you can see what I mean from the pictures). The bed was super comfortable as well as the pillows ( 4 in total which I really appreciated). There is everything you need and you can get there easily from the train station, about 15 mins walking (the last 3 are a bit steep).
