The Country House is a glorious house set in beautiful countryside well away from the hustle and bustle. You need a car if you want to explore the surrounds but we went to get away from it all. Terri & Teresa are wonderful hosts and fantastic chefs. We had breakfast and dinner on both days; our steaks were cooked to perfection, as was the barramundi on the following evening. We had cheesecake for dessert one evening and a chocolate and caramel based cream and banana tart - both were absolutely delicious. If you're seeking a 5* restaurant, don't bother, have dinner at The Country House because it surpasses any 5* restaurant I've been to. Happy Hour was excellent and fun! Cosmopolitans on our first night and Tequila Sunrises on our second. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh with homemade crumpets, bread or bagels as well as eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. All beautifully presented. The room was very spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with wonderful bedding.

The Country House at Hunchy is only 5 minutes from iconic artisan Montville and a little further from Maleny with all their popular shops, restaurants, galleries and cafes. We are central to everything the Sunshine Coast and its Hinterland have to offer the visitor. The Country House at Hunchy is perfect for romantic getaways, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthday celebrations or just a relaxing, tranquil and private stay after a busy day shopping, browsing, bush-walking, sightseeing or at the beach. Relax and enjoy the country environment in your own beautifully appointed suite, on your private veranda or down by the swimming pool. A sumptuous 3 course breakfast is available and served in our spacious dining room with spectacular views along the rain forest valley to the coast and Coral Sea. Set in the beautiful tranquil Hunchy Valley, The Country House at Hunchy is 5 minutes drive from iconic Montville with its cafes, restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. Enjoy fantastic views of the Blackall Range and across the rain forest right down to the coast. All the Sunshine Coast Hinterland national parks, waterfalls and walking trails are on our doorstep. It's only a short drive to all the famous and popular Sunshine Coast beaches and a little longer drive north rewards you with cosmopolitan Noosa. On the way to Noosa, Eumundi markets are a must-do. Yandina, Maleny and Montville also have their own markets on rotating weekends and there are more exciting markets experiences on the coast itself.
