If you like hiking and wildlife you will love this place as it is situated in the forest at the top of the mountain, 2 and a half hour's walk from the beach. It's away from the most popular parts of Tayrona which means it's really quiet and secluded, after some firefly spotting you fall asleep at night to the sounds of frogs and you wake up with the cockerel! The walk through the jungle was completely incredible and an absolute highlight for me, we saw capuchin monkeys, tamarins, bats, lizards, agoutis, hundreds of butterflies and birds, it was one of the best nature experiences of my life. We stayed two nights in a tent which was as comfortable as you could expect from a budget camp site. The breakfast and dinner were simple but very tasty.
