Pulieru is designed to be the perfect place to relax and unwind in all seasons - Autumn is particularly spectacular! You'll be surrounded by nature, in an ideal location to visit the mountains or coast. After a day exploring retreat to your cozy traditional home, renovated in 2021 to a modern standard with underfloor heating, double glazing and a wood burning stove. From your toasty vantage enjoy incredible Picos de Europa mountain views through the enormous windows. The balcony or private terrace and BBQ area are perfect for alfresco dining. The lounge has books, games and good WIFI with smartTV with bluetooth speaker for Netflix and Spotify, so you can really feel at home. There is a fully equipped kitchen with low energy appliances. Pulieru is ideal for 2-6 people, flexible for couples, families or friends. The two ensuite bedrooms can have 1 king-sized, or 2 single beds. The large lounge has a real fold-down double bed, not a sofa-bed, and it’s own shower-room. Located on a south facing crest with fabulous Picos de Europa mountain views, Pulieru sits in rolling hills. Life has a slower pace here and it’s the perfect place to switch off and unwind, although the local market town of Cangas de Onís is only 15mins away, with all the amenities you need to have a great stay. Pulieru has pasture and woodland which you're welcome to explore. Access is via a 200 metre gravel track - good for standard cars, but you will need to take extra care in sporty cars with low ground clearance.
Hi, we're Ben and Jen. Having first visited Asturias back in 2010 we knew it was somewhere very special. We are extremely lucky to have travelled to many places around the world, but this area has a unique draw of mountains and coastline that meant we wanted to make it our home. We found the small farm of Pulieru and fell in love with its views, tranquillity and potential. We spent four years buying and renovating the property and after nearly three years of hosting guests we're still super excited to share this special place with our guests.
The local area is begging to be explored by foot, car, motorbike, mountain bike or road bike. Local highlights include the Lakes of Covadonga and surrounding routes in the Picos de Europa National Park, the Basilica of Covadonga, the peak of Monfrechu (which you can walk to directly from Pulieru), Cangas de Onis with its Roman bridge and Sunday market, the Ruta del Cares, Sotres and Ponga Natural Park. In addition the Northern coastline has gorgeous beaches such as Playa del Cuevas, Playa de Vega, Playa Torimba, Playa de Po, the inland beach of Playa Gulpiyuri and the fishing towns of Ribadasella and Llanes. Lots of activities are also possible, such as nature tours, bird watching, wild swimming, kayaking, canyoning, rafting, surfing and paddle boarding. There are also some great restaurants waiting for a visit.
