ZooRooms Guesthouse offers an ideal location in the centre of Barcelona and 10 minutes’ walk from Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudí’s Casa Batlló. I opened ZOOROOMS just over 12 years ago because I felt there was a space in the tourism world of Barcelona for a different kind of accommodation - a place where guests can feel 'at home' from the moment they arrive. From travelling I've learnt what I like and don't like in a place - a welcoming atmosphere is essential, a place with soul. So we ensure guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Another element are the rooms - they had to be comfortable, but interesting too - so we had artists paint them individually! Each one is unique. I also knew I liked the friendly environment I found in hostels, but I like the privacy that ensuite private rooms offer. So, I had to ensure the place was inviting enough for guests to feel they can start a conversation with other guests and make new friends if they wanted, but they still have privacy and don't have to be sociable if they do not wish to. A communal living area, kitchen and sun terrace ensured that this was likely to happen. The result has been excellent. In my spare time I like to paraglide and travel :-)

WELCOME TO THE ZOO! OUR 4 ROOMS ARE PERFECT FOR COUPLES, INDEPENDENT TRAVELLERS, SMALL FAMILIES, LOVERS OF LIFE, ARTISTS, ART ADMIRERS, BUSINESS VISITORS AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN. WE ARE A SMALL GUESTHOUSE OFFERING A MORE INTIMATE AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAN YOU WILL FIND STAYING AT A LARGER HOTEL IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE. OUR GUESTS LIKE THEIR PRIVACY BUT ALSO ENJOY SOCIALIZING AND A BIT OF COMMUNAL LIVING IN THE KITCHEN AND TERRACE AREAS. IF YOU'RE SHY, DON'T WORRY, WE WILL NOT BOTHER YOU, BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND WILL NOT BITE - ASK US ANYTHING.
