The hosts are Agnetha and Kari and we live here with our four children and a set of grandparents. You never know who'll be welcoming you:).

Property information

Koulumäen B&B is a former primary school and it is today the home of our family and a charming yet a bit quirky place to stay for our visitors. Two of the rooms are located in the gym building and three are in the newer (build 1949) school house.

Neighbourhood information

Things to see here: There's a wonderful landscaped English style park just 1,5km from us. Huovilan Puisto was founded by Carl Constantin Collin, at the turn of the 20th century and it has been restored to its former glory. Huovila Park is open daily, but the café, museum, and exhibitions are open from Wednesday to Sunday (11 am - 5 pm) from the end of May to the end of August. Next to us is located Kärkölä`s beautiful neo-Gothic church, opened in 1889. And if you are willing to walk 150 meters, (it takes about 2 minutes) you will arrive at the amazing Mersaillesstore. The most unique and cozy little French boutique, that has local wine, clothes from Paris, french ground coffee, and tea, decorative accessories and Merja ,the francophile owner of the store.
