Eco friendly, BBQ, patio. Lovely area of Morecambe. We are low-key hosts who enjoy providing great stays and receiving warm feedback and reviews that help us improve stays. We travelled extensively in the past and were Local Authority foster carers for 3 years. We live 5 minutes away and are happy to help if needed. To contact us overnight, call twice to wake the phone. Our other roles include NHS management. We love the Morecambe Bay area, especially the Prom, beaches, sunsets and views to the Lake District and local parks.
LOCALITY The house is in a nice quiet, residential area which is characterised by mature outdoor spaces, broad roads and gardens. Private driveway & easy street parking is standard. There are many local shops and entertainment venues locally. Closest is Sainsbury's opposite the main road (30 metres), and almost adjacent award winning Atkinson's Fish and Chip shop. Torrisholme and Bare are the nearest centres and were the incorporated villages that formed Morecambe. Torrisholme has a Spar, two pubs, bar, barbers, takeaway; and Princess Crescent in Bare with micro pub Little Bare, wine bar Shackletons, Post office, butchers, bakers and two cafes. Morecambe town centre, the Promenade and sea are a mile away, as is the acclaimed Happy Mount Park in Bare, which has brass bands in summer, adventure parks, train ride and a cafe. At the far end of Lathom Ave is up-market Broadway, which runs over the train line bridge to the seafront Promenade. This is a lovely walk in the evening.
