The room was large and spotless, very comfortable armchairs. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable along with top quality duvet and pillows. The views from the bedroom window were stunning, all along the bay from the Great Orem to the Little Orme, and we were greeted with some beautiful sunrises. The bathroom was very modern with a nice hot shower. Plenty of space for toiletries. Plenty of choice for breakfast and all freshly cooked in the morning, served with a smile. At breakfast the stunning views continued..

Conveniently located on Llandudno’s famous North Shore, directly opposite the Victorian Pier entrance and a few minutes walk from the town centre with many shops, restaurants and pubs, Min y Don Guest House offers en suite accommodation throughout and free high-speed WiFi in all areas. All the rooms at Min y Don Guest house benefit from en-suite shower rooms with walk-in showers. Each room is tastefully furnished and individually decorated, featuring a 39-inch flat-screen TV with Freeview, tea/coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer. En-suite bathrooms have complimentary toiletries. The sea facing rooms are all equipped with luxurious double, king size or super-king beds, with panoramic views of the bay towards the Little Orme. In the mornings, Min y Don Guest House provides either a freshly cooked breakfast or a choice of continental options in the dining room overlooking the North Shore bay. Guests are also welcome to relax in our residents lounge which is equipped with a large screen TV, or sit and choose a good read from the large collection of books.

Company information

Min y Don has operated as a hotel / guest house for many decades and was purchased in the Autumn of 2018 by Teresa and Rheinallt who saw an opportunity to provide outstanding accommodation at a reasonable price on the Llandudno Promenade. A programme of full refurbishment was commenced immediately to make our home as comfortable as possible, that programme being accelerated over the lockdown periods of 2020 and 2021. As experienced guest house owners and seasoned travellers, we appreciate the value of good quality accommodation, provision of excellent breakfast and, of course, a traditional "Welsh" welcome. We apply exactly the same standards we would expect to receive - not stuffy - just comfortable, friendly and wherever possible with that little "extra" touch of luxury and thoughtfulness that even the best 5 Star accommodations simply cannot provide.

Property information

The name Min y Don translates from Welsh to mean 'at the edge of the waves', a name which perfectly describes our position on Llandudno's famous North Shore. Situated a mere pebble's throw from the Blue Flag crescent bay, we are opposite the Victorian Pier entrance and at the foot of the Great Orme, a great location from which to enjoy Llandudno's scenery, walks and attractions. A program of refurbishment is underway to make Min y Don "top in class" in a wonderful location with some of the best views that Llandudno and its surrounding areas have to offer. Sea facing rooms are now all fully refurbished to give all modern conveniences including walk in shower rooms, large screen Smart TV systems and the strongest available wi-fi signal.
