Gorgeous modern interior, lovely and clean, wonderfully comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Owner is super helpful, both before we arrived and during our stay. It’s great to have a utility room for walking boots and coats. Fantastic stay,...

The property was lovely well maintained and furnished beautifully. There was parking space for 2 cars, and an electric charging point, which was great. It was close to a good pub for drinks and food. The owners were on hand if we needed anything....

Amazing building, really well appointed I can’t think of anything we needed that was not available for us. Great village with fab local pub (food very slow and not amazing unfortunately) Parking plentiful and even electric charging points.

Enjoy a break on the edge of the Lake District, relaxing in the garden, taking in the view over Yanwath, towards Penrith's Beacon. We have one ground-floor ensuite (low-level shower tray and disabled access) room with a Kingsize bed which can also be split into two singles if preferred. The vaulted ceiling has a skylight and a remote-controlled blind. The living area is open plan with the kitchen making a nice big space to enjoy with your group and boasts two 3m bi-folds for great views and that feeling of the outdoors. The heating is powered by an automatic wood pellet stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with, a hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, wine fridge, toaster, sandwich toaster, dishwasher, glasses, cups, plates, kids utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, spices, sauces, a welcome box and There is also a utility for pets or bikes etc, with a washing machine and tumble drier. On the first floor, we have another ensuite room with a king-size bed which can be split into singles if preferred, with a vaulted ceiling and a lovely view. The third room is the smallest but is still a good size (vaulted ceiling with skylight and remote-controlled blind) double room, which has a bathroom with a free-standing bath just outside its door. A High Chair, and kids bath and toilet seat, toiletries are supplied as well as hand and bath towels Off-road parking for up to 5 cars and an electric charge point (benefitting from solar panels on the roof we only ask for a small fee for its use), a bus stop just across the road on the route to Pooley Bridge (2.5m) and Windermere, and a country pub just a short walk away. There is a grassed lawn to the front, with apple trees and flower beds surrounding it. We try to be as eco as we can with solar panels on the roof providing most of the power, a wood pellet stove for space and water heating, recycling facilities, and water-catching barrels for the garden See our Youtube channel for a better view of the barn
We are a family of four living just across the yard from the barn. I have lived very close to Tirril all my life whereas in contrast my wife, Elizete, is originally Brazilian but has lived here for almost twenty years now. Hosting a holiday property is new to us but we are enjoying meeting all our guests and the challenge of keeping up the best service we can give.
Tirril is a very cozy little quiet village, with a great Pub (The Queens Head) and a garage. We are on the bus route from Penrith to Pooley Bridge (3 pubs, 2 restaurants, cafes, book shop, Gin shop, boat hire, walks), Ullswater Lake (Steamer stopping at Martindale, Glenridding, Aira Force, and Pooley Bridge), Aira Force (waterfalls), Glenridding (pubs, shops, lots of more challenging walks), and onto Windermere. We also have a new signed pathway called the Eamont Way which takes in a milkshake vending machine farm, as well as a 12th-century church and some beautiful scenery. Lowther Castle (Large gardens and a huge kids' castle) is also within walking distance in the village of Askham which boasts two traditional pubs, a church, and an outdoor swimming pool
