Room was at the front of building providing good views over the sea. Table and seating under the window very good and unusual for this type of accommodation (somewhere else to sit rather than on the bed). Room clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom a touch small but probably the best design with the space available. Outside seating area on second floor at rear of building. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff, we were made very welcome by Laura. Good location with pleasant walk into Southend but also close to bus stops if needed. A number of eating places within walking distance. Good base for exploring the area.

Situated on Eastern Esplanade, overlooking Southend Beach, Pebbles Guest House offers wonderful sea views and cooked breakfasts. There is free parking, free Wi-Fi and a sun terrace. Set in a Victorian building, the elegant rooms at Pebbles each have a private bathroom. All rooms feature a TV and hairdryer, and many rooms have scenic views across the Thames Estuary. Generous full English breakfasts are served daily in the bright and airy dining room. Lighter options and vegetarian breakfasts are available, and there is also a spacious terrace with outdoor seating. In prestigious Thorpe Bay, Pebbles Guest House is just a mile from Southend-on-Sea centre. The famous Southend-on-Sea Pier is a 20-minute walk and Adventure Island is just over a mile away.
