This is a beautiful gem of a place with absolutely stunning views that calm the soul. The owners are wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was super yummy too! Roads uphill are a bit tricky but this is very common in Greece, especially if you want views. Well worth it!

Hotel Horizon is found in Ligiades, a picturesque village 12 km from Ioannina. The hotel is ideally situated on the slope of the mountain Mitsikelli, looking out to panoramic views of the Lake Pamvotis and the city of Ioannina. The hotel offers as a great base for exploring Ligiades and Ioannina, as well as the many historical, archaeological and religious monuments in the surrounding area. The villages of Zagori, Metsovo, Tzumerka and Konitsa, are also easily accessible from the Horizon Hotel. All air- conditioned rooms of the hotel are equipped with a TV, refrigerator, mini bar and wireless internet access, while a few enjoy the luxury of their private fireplace. The room balconies have views of the city and lake Ioannina. The dining room offers local dishes and traditional specialities, while traditional breakfast is served in the morning.
