Property information

A Kyomachiya with a view of a maple tree that is over 100 years old A Kyomachiya which was realized from the owner's imagination that to preserve the changing cityscape in the present age. There are five machiya along Matsubara-dori, which is close to the center of the city, and also is dotted with restaurants and workspaces. The renovation work led by the “Kyomachiya Restoration Study Group”, which is engaged in the preservation and restoration of Kyomachiya, is carried out using traditional construction methods and you can feel its special everywhere. The room of the 1st floor retains lots of the traditional taste, such as the entrance to the courtyard from the tea room, and the interior of the entire facilities which makes full use of beams and pillars. The view of the courtyard from the bedroom on the 2nd floor creates a space which you can tune into your time . It is close to the center of Kyoto and has a lot of commercial facilities which can fulfill your requests of sightseeing and shopping.
