Wow, I wish we could have stayed longer!! Thank you so very much for making us feel like old friends as soon as we arrived at your little piece of paradise. From the service, rooms, pool, and facilities, everything was just perfect, and our children loved the games on offer in the main entrance. It is a perfect location to the national park and offers everything and more that you need, including delicious meals within their restaurant. A special mention to Anne, who was so very helpful helping recommend a safari driver for us and then the morning of our safari packing a delicious packed breakfast for us with tea and coffee on our return. Thanks, team Tranquil, for making us feel so very welcome and making us have wonderful memories of our stay in Yala.

The hotel offered a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life, which was exactly what I needed for my vacation. I particularly enjoyed connecting with nature through various activities like boat rides on the lake, safaris, and village tours. Sampling authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and herbal drinks added to the experience. Having lunch in their tree house with a view of the lake was pleasant, and later, I had a simple but enjoyable bonfire in one of their tents beneath the starry sky. The staff, especially Anne, the owner, were friendly and ensured a smooth stay. A morning walk around the lake with them was a nice gesture. The nature walks and safari experiences were enjoyable, and it was clear that the staff had a good understanding of the ecosystem and biodiversity.

Anne has created an oasis of calm and civilisation opposite a large lake. Her restaurant allows the breezes and the overhead fans to cool you as eat. There is a varied and delicious menu - I recommend the fusion rice. The room was comfortable and luxurious with a private patio for sitting and contemplating the parade of domestic and wildlife on the shores of the lake. Amal proved to be a knowledgeable and patient naturalist pointing out a plethora of different birds, reptiles and we even saw a baby elephant.

We had an exceptional stay at Tranquil Wild. The room was spotlessly clean, and the furniture was tastefully decorated. We were given a free room upgrade. The property's beautiful lake in front added to its charm. The Western and Sri Lankan food we enjoyed during our stay was outstanding. The owner of the property is very kind and personally ensures that guests are comfortable. She helped us book a Yala safari with a professional naturalist. We will definitely return. This property is a gem, and with the first-class service of the staff, there's no need to look further. We highly recommend staying at this property if you plan to visit Block 5 in Yala, as it is closer to Block 5.

Location, hospitality, cleanliness, food, activities. Our host Anne, and the lovely staff went beyond our expectations to accommodate our needs. The hotel has a peaceful character that is why we chose to stay there. The flora and fauna are so calming. Waking up to a peacock's calling is just heavenly. Playful monkeys curiously perched from the nearby trees. The buffalo heard grazing just on the outskirts of the hotel bordering a picturesque lake, even going in to take a bath. Early morning boat ride on the lake is a good start. You can feel the stress draining from your body. The staff presented with healthy home cooked style food. I wanted locally sourced greens to which they accommodated without hesitation. The evening made even more magical, sitting by a bonfire having a barbecue meal with music to dance the night away. What more could i ask for? But to visit Tranquil wild again🤗.

Lovely small family run hotel set in nature, 5 minutes drive outside Yala National park. Friendly and helpful staff. Helped us organise transport and safari. Nice restaurant with good breakfast and dinner options. Staff even prepared us a breakfast box to take with us as we left early on our last day. Nice rooms with AC and pool.

We loved the room ... large and airy, with views over the lake, with sliding double doors. The location for us was great, a short distance from the town, so quiet. The swimming pool was an added bonus to cool off, but was a lovely temperature. We went on the village tour, which was great fun, and we met several locals. The boat trip at sunset was great (and included fishing ... 🎣 😀) the water buffalo, hornbills, and bird life were great. We stayed on a half board basis, to save us having to find restaurants in the town, and found the meals appetizing, plentiful and a good selection of choices. They offer Sri Lankan and western style breakfasts. Our host, Anne, was kind, very hospitable and helped as much as possible, even sourcing a coconut scraper for us to purchase at our next stop. She'll arrange anything for you. Couldn't wish for a nicer, kinder person.

The host/owner, Anne, takes care of every single person or group that books the accommodation. Her English is great. Best English speaker we met in Sri Lanka. The rooms are comfortable with a lot of attention to detail. We did a safari tour and a boat ride, both organized by Anne on the day of arrival. All worked out very pleasantly and smoothly. Would recommend this stay!

I had the best and tastiest srilankan food here. Anne is an amazing host, she took care of us and prepared snacks for our safari trip. She also arranged the safari for us and a boat tour but unfortunately it was raining. We can see alot of birds and wild animals around too.
