The property was built in 1949. The house was restored in 2016."Welcome to Casa Calhau, a charming 20m2 apartment that boasts a cozy and comfortable interior. The space features two single beds that can be joined together to create a double bed, providing a restful night's sleep for two guests. The bathroom includes a shower, single basin, and toilet for your convenience. The apartment also includes a small kitchenette that is equipped with a stove, microwave, utensils, two pots, one frying pan, mugs, and cups, allowing you to prepare simple meals and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. For a stunning view of the sea and mountains, guests can make their way up to the rooftop terrace by walking outside and taking the stairs. This peaceful retreat is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings. We invite you to come and experience the warmth and hospitality of Casa Calhau during your stay in this beautiful area."
Jardim do Mar is a civil parish in the western part of the municipality of Calheta in the Portuguese island of Madeira. The population in 2011 was 204, in an area of 0.74 km².It is approximately 3 kilometres northwest of Calheta.There is some walks that can be done close by, the walk from Jardim do Mar to Prazeres and then to Paul do Mar and back TO Jardim do Mar, Levada Nova in Prazeres, Rabaçal the "25 FOUNTAINS", if you like the beach, you can enjoy Calheta Beach.The beach offers numerous support structures that include changing rooms, toilets (including accessible toilets), first aid room, bars, restaurants and parking. Access to Calheta Beach is free of charge. Alot to see and enjoy on the surronding area of Jardim do Mar.
