Company information

We are a British-Russian couple who are currently living and working in Romania. Since our arrival in the country several years ago, we have had the good fortune to travel all across Romania, and experience the wonderful variety, warmth, culture, history and landscapes that the country has to offer. Romania is simply unique – a heady mixture of the Latin, Slavic, Greek, Roman, Turkish… goes some way to understanding how fascinating and yet difficult to define the country is. After settling in Romania, and falling in love with the mountain area - in particular the delights of Prahova and Translyvania - we decided to buy a holiday home here. We have spent many a fantastic weekend at the villa, which is a wonderful base for exploring the Carpathians and Translyvania, for walking, skiiing or just relaxing in the hot tub and admiring the amazing view! We believe that our villa, situated in one of Europe’s last great wilderness, has a unique homely feel, together with the quality and ameneties that are unmatched in the region. We hope that you enjoy Casa Ferica as much as we have.

Property information

Casa Ferica and Casa David, our little corner of Transylvanian idyll. This four-bedroomed villas, built in 2008 and recently updated to the highest standard, offer spectacular views of the Carpathian Mountains. The villas are divided over three levels, with two bedrooms on the top floor – one of which can convert from an adult to a children’s bedroom with 2 x single beds, with en-suite bathroom including bath/shower and WC. The second is a beautifully boutique double-bedroom with en-suite shower room and stunning view. A further two large double-en suite bedrooms are located on the lower-ground floor with entrances straight into the garden. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath/shower, WC and double-basin units. The main living/dining space boasts the most amazing views of the valley which is home to 50 brown bears. The open-fire offers a cosy warm feel irrespective of season, with doors leading onto a large wooden terrace to soak up the sun or scenery. The well-equipped kitchenette caters for all needs and includes oven, grill, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker etc. The tap-water is drinkable. Neighbourhood information

Azuga offers a huge array of activities. Skiing, sledging, snowboarding and Nordic walking are all on offer. The Bucegi Mountains are the centre of Romanian rock-climbing. Mountain biking, ATV riding, bungee jumping, caving, camping are all readily accessible. The ski resorts are a 15 minute walk from Casa Ferica. A 40 minute drive from is the medieval Saxon town of Brasov, on the way is famous Bran castle. In Sinaia, is the intriguing Peles Castle, built in the German Renaissance style.
