My room was very comfortable and clean, with a nice balcony. The breakfast was excellent!!! The staff was so sweet and attentive that I couldn't have booked a better place to stay. I felt so safe as a female solo traveller, and the host and his family were so kind and gave me lots of advice and tips for my travel. Very good value for the money, I will definitely come again.

In Cocolala we found a peaceful and welcoming place, the staff and especially the owners were helpful and very kind, they provided everything we needed and were ready to help you with anything. If you want to stay in Zanzibar and have good quality/price you must come to the Cocolala beach house!

Cocolala feels like home away from home. All the staff are welcoming, approachable, and friendly. The two beautiful young ladies who make breakfast are just simply the best at what they do. Their breakfast do not disappoint. They make a papaya, avocado, and passion fruit juice, it's to die for. It's the best juice I've ever tasted. Another one of my favourite things at the hotel was the bed sheets. I don't know what cotton count they were, but they were baby soft, and they kept my body feeling cool throughout the night. This is a plus when you are visiting a hot country. The owners Sebastian and his wife are very helpful. They've organised some tours for me which I really enjoyed. They have a little angel, and I called her Princess. She is adorable, and she has a cheeky smile. I would recommend this hotel because I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

The location of the accommodation right on the beachfront was phenomenal, with amazing sunrises every morning reminiscent of an English breakfast. The hosts were always quick to respond and help. The room was very clean and tidied up daily. The air conditioning in the room, especially on an island where it gets hot, is fantastic. Soap, shampoo, and towels were always available upon request, which made for a pleasant stay for travelers.

We had a very intensive week in main land Tansania prior to coming to Zanzibar, and Cocolala was such a releaf ! The owners Karina, Sebastian and Mohamed are fantastic. They have arranged the transportation to us from Stone Town, we were greeted and taken to our rooms which all were great. Air conditioning was working perfectly well, it's life saving in a +32C humid Nungwi weather. All of us have enjoyed the breakfast, which was very rich and has kept us through the day, and we only had eat dinner at near by restaurants. Room service was awesome. Beach is within few steps. The hosts have arranged a tour for us as well. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay in Cocolala if we are to go back !

A truly lovely resort! It’s not very fancy, but it’s very clean and extremely comfortable. The owners and staff are all friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect: super close to the beach, but quiet for sleeping in the evening. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an excellent value-for-money stay in Nungwi.

1. The manager, Mohamed, was extremely helpful and attentive. He goes the extra mile when you need assistance or advice and even arranged excursions for us at a fair price. It was our second week in Zanzibar, so we already had an idea of how much an activity should cost. He was fair, knowledgeable and helpful. 2. The breakfast was delicious. 3. The air-conditioner was also great. 4. The room was spacious and the location is prime. There were so many restaurants nearby.
