I really like the property and the art. There were some Juneau pieces that reminded me of my childhood living there. I appreciated the access to Forest Park trails.

Come savor all that Portland and Mother Nature have to offer at our lovely retreat! This apartment comprises the first floor of our hundred-year-old craftsman home in Willamette Heights, full of charm with hardwood floors, original built-in cabinetry, and updated furnishings. Its own private entrance gives you complete independence during your stay. The space has a large bedroom with a queen bed and a full futon, full bathroom, living room with a queen sleeper, and a fully equipped kitchen.
We are a blended family. I’m from Alaska originally and Matt is from the Philadelphia area. Matt has three boys who are 9, 13 & 16. We love to welcome people to our beautiful city and Willamette Heights!
Relax in the swing and rocking chairs on the giant 450 square foot covered porch with views of Mount St Helens (and Rainier and Baker on a clear day!) Enjoy fresh coffee with the sunrise for you early risers! For nature lovers and hiking, biking enthusiasts, our home sits just 500 feet from the entrance to Forest Park, Portland’s crown jewel and one of the largest urban forests in the US, with over 5,200 densely wooded acres and more than 80 miles of trails to explore, stretching for more than 7 miles along the eastern slope of the Tualatin Mountains overlooking Northwest Portland and the convergence of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. It’s just a 15 minute walk to the fashionable Northwest District along NW 23rd Ave and more. Portland’s TriMet bus route stops just a house away and connects to the rest of the city via Portland’s bus, streetcar, MAX routes. We also have easy on-street parking. For those of you visiting from afar, the spectacular scenery of the Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge and Cascade Mountains, as well as world-class wineries in the Willamette Valley, are a 30-80 minute drive away and make for a lovely day trip.
