Beautiful, neatly Modern styled equipped units with a country flair, peaceful nature surroundings and a stone throw away from Barrydale town centre, with an organic garden where you can hand pick produce, and have a delicious breakfast at the blue cow coffee shop with an overlooking view of a dam, mountains and farm landscapes, definitely an unique experience and break away from a fast paced life, with hospitality from the owners that will make you feel like family, worth the visit!

I am an entrepreneur that of the mind that patience breeds success, the Blue Cow Barn has been in the works for many years and now finally the boutique farm accommodation is my passion. Really looking forward to welcome you to our beautiful property.

The Blue Cow Barn - Boutique Farm Accommodation is located on the beautiful farm Altona in the heart of the Karoo only 1 km from the centre of Barrydale, we have amazing restaurants like Mez Karoo Kitchen, Bistro Blues, Blue Cow Coffee Shop, Barrydale Cellar and many more. All our guests are free to walk freely on the farm, enjoy our hiking trails and mountain bike trails. All our cottages have beautiful views of the farm lands, olive trees, onion and carrot fields.
