Get away with family and friends to this newly renovated beautifully appointed farm house on a working farm with magnificent views and a pool. The sprawling house has 6 bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms..which includes the gorgeous thatched stone ensuite cottage nestled in the garden. With rolling lawn and a pool, there is space for the kids to run wild while the adults relax on the verandah or curl up next to fire in the library. Swim in the sparkling mountain river or try your fly rod in the dams.
We are based on a near by farm but guests can message for assistance or ask on site staff for help. Please note there is only Vodacom and Cell C reception on the farm - no MTN. There is of course the wi-fi though.
Set in picturesque farmland at the foot of the Sani Pass in the magnificent Drakensberg mountains, with the towns of Himeville and Underberg a short drive away. Both towns boast a variety of gorgeous coffee shops, while the district offers a whole host of activities including hiking, fishing, horse riding, river tubing and paddling, mountain biking and golf. Guests will need their own vehicle. It should also be noted that all farm roads, the access road and some other local roads are dirt. Please note, the dirt road from Himeville can get tricky in wet weather. A higher vehicle is therefore recommended. Also be aware there is no MTN reception from about 4kms on the dirt (after you crest the big hill). From JHB, head south east on the N3 towards Howick. After passing Midmar dam on the right, take the off ramp to the Southern Drakensberg / R617 at Howick. Turn right under the bridge and join the R617 to Underberg. From Durban, head north west on the N3 towards Howick. Pass Hilton and Cedara and then take the off ramp to the Southern Drakensberg / R617 at Howick. Turn left at the stop street and join the R617 to Underberg. Follow the R617 through Boston and Bulwer to Underberg (+- 111kms). In Underberg, at the Shell garage, turn right towards Himeville. Travel +-5kms to Himeville and go straight through and out the other side. Continue straight for +- 2kms until you pass through a cross roads (Sani Pass) and the road turns to dirt. Keep straight on the dirt road for +-8.5kms and just after passing a turning to the right, cross a single car bridge over the Mkhomazana River. The double farm gates are immediately on your left.
