Nestled on a working wine and olive farm in the the Robertson's valley, Orange Grove features luxurious self-catering chalets with a private veranda and plunge pool. The chalets offer magnificent views over the mountains and vineyards and are located far enough from each other so as to provide maximum privacy for our guests. Each comes with a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace and BBQ facilities. The chalets are serviced daily. Guests can relax with a spa treatment in the privacy of their chalet or order a picnic baskets from the farm to explore the surrounding areas, waterfalls and mountains on a hike. There are several hiking trails in the area and staff can assist with bookings of experienced guides. Other facilities and services include a gift shop, bicycle rental, grocery deliveries as well as laundry and ironing services. Orange Grove is located 2 hours' drive from Cape Town.

Welcome to Orange Grove Farm, a working wine and olive farm situated in the heart of Robertson's Valley of Wine and Roses. The farm is less than two hours from Cape Town and is the ideal place to relax and rejuvenate. Our luxurious self-catering cottages are named after the areas where the owner mined diamonds, and each has a unique story to tell. They combine comfort and beauty, offering a setting in which to linger and relax. Each cottage can be serviced daily by our friendly staff, leaving you only to concentrate on unwinding and enjoying the magnificence of your surroundings. Your private veranda and swimming pool provide a relaxing vantage-point to take in spectacular mountain views, the overwhelming sound of silence, and the truly prolific birdlife. At night the crystal-clear sky, and no artificial lights, will spectacularly display the breath-taking canopy of our southern stars. Our cottages are located far enough from each other to provide maximum privacy for our guests. Access to each is via your own private road. We look forward to welcoming you to Orange Grove Farm!

Current owner, Carlos Araujo, was born in Portugal and arrived in South Africa with his family 50 years ago. He embraced the South African culture and considers this his only home, even though he still loves traditional Portuguese cuisine with plenty of chillies. Carlos spent most of his life searching for diamonds. This took him on many adventurous journeys through the African bush and desert, to foreign countries and far away cities, but the urge to return home always remained with him. During his diamond mining career, he decided that farming offered a relaxed and laid-back lifestyle, so he decided to settle down in the beautiful Cape. After a long and exhaustive search for that one very special place, he fell in love with Orange Grove Farm the first time he laid eyes on it. Under his leadership, the farm has undergone a complete transformation. It started with the upgrading of the existing vines, and the planting of additional vineyards and olive groves. Then followed the careful and loving restoration and renovation of existing buildings, and upgrading of all the farms roads.

The best possible way to experience the natural beauty of Orange Grove Farm is to explore the natural wilderness on foot or by bicycle. This will enable you get up-close-and-personal with the fynbos and flowers while allowing you time to take in the magnificent rock formations and birdlife as you enjoy a sense of adventure and solitude. We can prepare you Breakfast baskets, Picnic Baskets and Braai Baskets and you can spoil yourself with a luxurious, one-hour, full body massage treatment in the privacy of your own cottage, either with your partner or on your own. Visit Robertson & the surrounding area for a variety of top Wine Estates, River Cruises, Restaurants, Golf, Wildlife Safaris, Tractor Rides, Horse Riding, Art, Farm Stalls and a variety of Food and Wine Festivals throughout the year.
