The family Grampelhuber were wonderful hosts. Mom, Dad, two sons, two daughter (in law), and two grandchildren, along with a fine and attentive staff. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was outstanding. Music filled the house. We will long look on our Austrian visit to Bad Goisern and Steegwirt fondly.

Special thanks to personnel of the guesthouse and restaurant - such kind people!

The location is perfect, right at the centre of the town. The room is a bit small but enough for a short stay. The hotel has a room for solo traveller which is good value. Also, they prepare hot water for Asian guests (who does not used to drink tap water) at the lobby with tea bags and coffee. The staffs are very frirndly and helpful.

Great location - wonderful to have just a short walk to the fenicular railway, the town. & lake…so doing it several times a day was easy. The walk away from the lake, following the mountain stress as m to the cascades & waterfalls was even better! Friendly host. Nicely equipped. Good size bedrooms. Lovely little snug on the top floor apartment for breakfast & dinner.

Enjoyed the restaurant for dinner...staff very friendly and food/wine good...convenient to eat at the hotel. Rooms were charming and we all loved staying on the third floor for the view.

The hotel itself is very good, located in the very center, it’s beautiful inside, the restaurant is open until late, but you need to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you won’t get in, since this is the only place in the city where you can have dinner in the evening, everything else will be closed

Fabulous ,Location is perfect , the room was spotless,,a great size with nice balcony with rooftop / partial lake views.The bathroom was also a good size with a great shower . The beds and bedding wete excellent we had a great sleep .Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and served in a nice dining room where we also had a very good dinner the previous night would lovevto stay here again

It was private, fully equipped, comfortable, picturesque, spotless clean and felt like home from home. It also had a small mini market which was a fabulous idea for breakfast lunch or dinner. Every morning there was fresh bread and pastries which was a lovely touch during our stay. Andi was so helpful, accommodating he was a true local and gave us plenty of information on Hallstatt and surrounding villages. We highly recommend this property for a stay and hopefully we will return.

Location was perfect to explore Halstatt and Obertraun. Breakfast was good with an assortment of options. The restuarnt meals were also good for dinner. The resort grounds are lovely and a short walk to the lakes edge provides the most stunning views towards Halstatt and of the mountains.

The property is located in the centre of Hallstatt. It’s close by to cafes, restaurants and all tourist spots. It’s very clean with large, spacious rooms and the room we had in particular had a beautiful view of the lake. Check in/check out was very easy and Tamara was very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend staying at Pension Hallberg.
