The village is remote from big cities and that makes it the best to spot auroras. We were lucky to see them at the first night. The village is just 1.5 hours away from Rovaniemi or Kittila/Levi ski resort, so you can easily drive there by car if you want more action. I recommend doing snowmobile tour which can be arranged by the owners of the village.

Rooms at Majatalo Jurtta are simply decorated with a neutral décor and offer a TV and fridge. Bathroom facilities are shared and guests also have access to a well-equipped kitchen. Bed linen and towels are included. The host is by far the best encounter with a Finnish person ever. He was so welcoming and made us a beautiful fire we talked for hours about history and what not. You'll not have any regrets coming here. I cannot recommend this place enough the sauna was free and very nice
