The Marylebone Hotel is within 500 metres from Bond Street Underground Station and the shops of Oxford Street including Selfridges, John Lewis and the designer boutiques of Bond Street. Daniel at check-in was just incredible. He, and all the staff, made our stay perfect!
This was SO much FUN! It blew away my expectations. PRO TIP: Don't wait in the *ridiculously* long line - even if you bought tickets beforehand, you have to wait for several hours. We saw the line wasn't even moving - people were sitting down it was taking so long! We got out of line, and actually re-bought tickets with SKIP THE LINE, it is REALLY worth the extra money. I'm warning you, BUY the SKIP THE LINE. Even with the skip tickets it took about 30 minutes to get in. But holy cow, the place is HUGE! So many floors, so many wax people, so much fun - even a little amusement-park type ride in the middle to get to the next floor! This was one of my favorite parts of our London trip, believe it or not! TLDR; BUY the SKIP THE LINE tickets or wait for hours. So much fun!
Go very early as we had to queue up for nearly 3 hours and it was on a Sunday! Also very expensive for what it is - however I did enjoy it. When it’s very busy it is difficult to get photos with the waxworks as people just push you out the way, unfortunately some people don’t have manners.
Always get excited to visit Tussaud’s and wax museums anywhere in the world having been ones in New York, Las Vegas, Copenhagen, Blackpool, Edinburgh and Prague. Visited this particular museum on four or five occasions still enjoying at seeing new models!
Choose the first time slot available in the day and come approximately half an hour before it opens so you are among the first ones in the line. This really helped us because there wasn't that much people around and we could take many pictures with the wax figures.
Get your printed tickets and a booked time if you want to avoid long queues!! Only booking is not enough..to get the tickets you will need to stand in a queue on average 45 minutes - 1 hr!! We were there in july.. May be it was the peak time..
We booked for 10:30 with vip tickets on Sunday 29 th July. Outside it was complete chaos. The staff sent us from queue to queue then after 45 min we got to where one poor girl was having to scan everybody’s tickets. She looked so stressed. I think the management need to come out of the offices and congratulate her for dealing with the pushing and high levels of stress. You could see too many bookings had been taken and the staff just couldn’t cope. What’s the point of booking a time if you can’t get in on that time. So to start with we were pissed off. Once inside we had to ask about the vip tickets as none of the staff outside had any time to look or explain about them. Apart from too many people shoving and pushing the inside made up for all the hassle. I would advise going on a quiet time if possible
