We had this in our itinerary, however did not factor the weather in. The touring was listed at zero visibility, so we did not go up- however the view looking up from the bottom was pretty impressive. Will have to save for another visit!
I got a discount offer from booking.com that said £11 for the ticket and that I can use it anytime during my trip to London. But then when I show it to the lady at the shard ticket office, after multiple tries of scanning it, when it finally worked she said the price is £22.5. I checked again on the booking website, the first offer was not there anymore and I couldn't find it anywhere in my emails as all what I had was an email with a code to be scanned. It was a bit disappointing. Don't know who's fault was, The Shard or Booking.com.
The deluxe twin room I booked did not disappoint. It was big and comfortable for our stay. We had a lovely view from a small window of our room on the 7th floor of The Shard. The concierge and doormen were very friendly, polite & attentive & made up for what the check in girls lacked. The hand written note from housekeeping saying “enjoy your stay” was a nice touch. Fabulous location for theatres and really close to Covent Garden.
Absolutely clean place, with a good smell across the house; very comfortable; nice view from my room of London skyline and the Shard; Lyssiemay is a very kind host and available in case of any requests; easy self check-in/check-out; despite the non-very-central location, it's well linked by bus and tube (1 to Tottenham Court Road and Central London, stop across the street; Jubilee Line from Bermondsey, 15 mins walk)
A slight view of tower bridge and the shard! Booked last minute to accommodate for the queens funeral. Didn’t spend any time in the room unfortunately as it was a 3am start. But from what we experienced, it was comfortable, clean and very modern! Would absolutely come back!
Comfortable bed Very convenient for The Shard Very good breakfast
