A couple of different places here have really good bands...
A couple of different places here have really good bands playing almost every night. Just listen for the music as you walk past. Just off Soi Cowboy on Soi Sukhumvit 23 (toward BTS) is a super Thai resturant called "Love Scene". You will feel like you are in the wrong place walking down the corridor behid fridges and freezers but when you get in it is a quaint old looking room with really good food.AussieAustralia - 6.0Scored 6.0

Took my wife along to experience decadent western culture - haha. We live in China. She found it quite interesting and amusing, especially the ladyboys. Nobody really hassled us and we were free to have a look around in a relaxed manner. Nearby food was inexpensive and excellent

What a major disappointment Soi Cowboy was - really don't bother. Khao San Rd is way better and not quite as expensive. Soi Cowboy is just an over commercialised tourist rip off pokey little street (2 mins walk end to end). What a waste of time and money. The very fact that people degrade themselves in this way and individuals let others ‘buy’ them is beyond me. It was like stepping back 60 years where men owned women and treated them how they chose. I understand this is a job for some but we saw sooo many old men with 2 young girls and this was going on in our Marriot hotel as well.
