Gorgeous property with lovely lodges. Everything was perfect and they were so friendly and helpful. Great value. Amazing pillows and bed! Kitchenette really useful and pool, whilst tiny, was in a lovely garden, so relaxing!

Location was stunning and having the pole lodges in the rainforest was gorgeous. So close to Cooktown with the luxury of seeming like a world away.

Lovely private and well appointed cottage. Very comfortable king bed, great shower, and spotlessly clean. The private deck overlooks the rainforest with its interesting wildlife visitors. The pool area is nice for a cool off. A car is handy but they also do car rentals here. We made use of the RSL courtesy bus to go out. Loved Cooktown and Milkwood Lodge.

Beautiful wooden lodges with comfortable living spaces and everything you need. Loved the lush green gardens and the sound of the birds while sitting on the veranda. We also made use of the BBQ area near the pool. You need a car to get into town but it's only a few minutes' drive away.

Everything about Paperbark Retreat is pristine - the gardens, the pool area, the broad-verandah lodge and the stylish finishings throughout. But what sets this retreat apart is the hospitality. It's a perfect setting for a tranquil getaway and hosts Sue and Tony's local knowledge is invaluable. This touch of FNQ paradise is highly recommended.

Milkwood Lodge provided a perfect location to discover some of the highlights of Cooktown while on our trip to FNQ. Sharyn & the other staff are friendly & helpful and I loved sitting out on the balcony amongst the butterflies. Thank you!

The rainforest setting is beautiful, and there was no noise from adjacent lodges. The facilities and amenities were perfect for our one-night stay.
