Well-managed lodge with a nice view of the river, and a slice of the surrounding farm and even some game along the way. The breakfast was exceptional! The final stretch of road is through farmland, but well-marked and directions were very good. Kayaking was extra, but very fun!

What a surprise for a stopover from Johannesburg towards Cape Town is Tzamenkomst River Lodge. It lies on the borden of the Orange River and sitting at the dining table we had an amazing view of the sunset over the Orange River. And although an unexpected load shedding occured, staff was tremendous helpful to see us safely in our cottage with some emergency equipment. Thank you, Anne Lee, Tanya and other members of the staff for all your effort to make it a wonderful stay. We certainly come back, if we are in the neighbourhood.

The lodge is on the banks of the Orange River, which was in flood when we stayed there. It was amazing to watch the water at sunset and during dinner. The food (traditional lamb shanks and vegetables) was also excellent quality and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.
