Located 6.6 km from Tissa Wewa, Ranakeliya Lodge - Yala provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and room service for your convenience. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Very nice and equipped tents! One of the best showers in Sri Lanka. We felt like close to the nature. The beds were very comfortable. The food was super delicious and the Safari that we booked with them was very nice. We asked them to leave 30minutes earlier and they managed to do so. Our Safari guide Oshan was very nice and put a lot of effort into our experience and showed a lot of different animals.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy darts on site, or cycling in the surroundings. Beautiful location. Off the beaten track, serene and wild at the same time. Calm and very grounded in nature. We arrived to jewelled peacocks roaming the property and awoke to the monkeys on the porch. Absolutely stunning sunset boat ride was an incredible bonus. The staff were incredible.. Ann was exceptionally accommodating, a truly beautiful soul who made us feel very welcomed. Ramesh was extremely helpful and we couldn’t have asked for better. Dinner was locally sourced and very well made. Breakfast was plentiful and very delicious. We really wish we had booked to stay for longer.

They organised our safari and we truly enjoyed sharing special moments and discussions with Praveen the manager who is passionate and goes the extra mile to make his guests feel welcome and special. The food is delicious - one of the best in Sri Lanka - and the atmosphere very relaxed. It’s a bit of paradise on Earth. Thank you Praveen for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We would definitely come back and stay.

I have had two awesome nights at this place. Expect a very basic but clean house and a fantastic owner. He organised all sorts of things for me, including a great safari. We were almost completely alone there and were able to marvel at a family of elephants with a baby twice. He showed me local traditions and I really enjoyed him as a host. In the morning I was able to watch playing monkeys for hours in front of the terrace. It was really fun.

Lots of animals around, monkeys jumping on the trees ( but not disturbing) peacocks running, squirrels etc The food is very good - u have to try breakfast and dinner. Hightly recommend

We stayed here for two nights while going on safari in Yala with the all inclusive package. The staff at the Lodge were wonderful, and gave us everything we needed. The meals were delicious with lots of different menu options to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable with good aircon. The pool was also great. The perfect place to stay in Yala!
