The food was also excellent.. owner Anne was very sweet and caring. This facility is near to block 6 of the national park which has a lot of elephants and other animals and birds.. although block 1 is famous for leapord but sightings are difficult and it's dense forest so we can't see a lot of animals.. we would have loved to spend a few more days just relaxing in this property if we didn't have other plans. Amazing views of the lake and peacocks and monkeys roaming in the hotel gardens.. amazing.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a Full English/Irish breakfast. We had an amazing stay with the heartwarming family that is taking care of the eco village. We were welcomed very lovely by the host and her daughter. She served delicious Sri Lankan food and was always checking whether everything was fine. The property is really beautiful and gives the feeling of an authentic jungle stay. The huts are small but cosy and mosquito nets are already provided. Sadly we booked our safari tour beforehand but the hosts of the eco village also offer safari jeep tours so we would highly recommend to book it with them. The brother of the host was also very friendly and took care that we get to the bus station on time to catch our bus to Hiriketyia. In total we would really recommend to stay at this place and get the chance to live with locals.

The lodge offers an à la carte or Full English/Irish breakfast. I have had two awesome nights at this place. Expect a very basic but clean house and a fantastic owner. He organised all sorts of things for me, including a great safari. We were almost completely alone there and were able to marvel at a family of elephants with a baby twice. He showed me local traditions and I really enjoyed him as a host. In the morning I was able to watch playing monkeys for hours in front of the terrace. It was really fun.

This is not a stay in a hotel. this is an experience! From the moment you arrive, location is a bit hard to find, but they’ll pick you up and drive you to the resort. The other brother stands with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. The room is great, good bed good shower and clean. Even good wifi in the room… I had twice dinner there and once lunch. I asked for a lake view table and they arranged it beautiful with lamps and a campfire. Stunning! The food is sooooo good, best I had in Sri Lanka. Everything you ask, nothing is too much for them. I really was amazed Go here!!! you will love it 😍

Very nice place. Navin the host is very helpful and arranged transportation for us. Also arranged the Jeep safari. Great host.

The staff were helpful, likeable, generous and interesting with conversations and information. The little village close by has supplies, smiles and great haircuts!
