It was quiet with no honking. It was a modern house with a kitchen, living room, hot water, A/C right backed up to the river with a gazebo. Nicest place I stayed in India. Hosts lived in USA for work and spoke excellent English and were able to answer a lot of my questions about India.

Everything was great! Location was very convenient and close to the railway station & local transport options. The beach is less than 2 kms away. Rooms are clean, bright and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and courteous. They also assisted me with information w.r.t local transport, when required, being especially kind enough to permit me to wait in a little beyond check-out time when the train was delayed. The restaurant on the ground floor is also excellent with their food and service. Highly recommend this Hotel to anyone travelling to Kollam.

The provided food was all incredible ! (Lunch portions are massive) I was able to do a sunrise boat trip, was shown around the island and also did kayaking on Munroe Island. As other reviews mention it is literally an island that is only reachable by boat so just be mindful of any amenities you may need to buy beforehand. You can always ask to be taken to Munroe Island otherwise. The host is very hospitable and honestly it was so nice to have downtime.
