We were fortunate to be there when they had a fireworks display on the beach which was awesome.There is also a washing machine and dryer for 500yen which really helped having a family of 5. If you are looking for a traditional stay and a truly memorable experience this is it.

The rooms are fairly simple but with great individual open air hot tubs with soothing mineral spring water. What stood out the most were the wonderful staff who work there and the most amazing meals we had in our entire trip. Chef Hide Kurosawa is a young energetic chef with talent beyond his years. His Maui roots gave us islanders an instant connection with him. The food was sublime; a French Japanese fusion of amazing flavors with the freshest of ingredients. The dining room has a display of the wagyu beef aging and local fish drying. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The staff, especially Vivian, was so welcoming and accommodating. Vivian’s English is terrific and she was so service oriented and cheerful always. We felt like we were visiting long lost relatives. The resort is on a cliff side overlooking the ocean adjacent to small winding streets and the coastal road. We had a car, which made the stay there more convenient as it would be more difficult to tour the gorgeous Jagosaki Coast without wheels. There is nothing in the world like lying in mineralized hot spring water, looking at the stars and hearing the sound of the waves. In addition to our room’s hot tub we could reserve the private onsen for use and it was never busy.
